Our Amazon Photography Tour | 5, 6 & 7-Day Photo Tour is operated in the Cuyabeno Reserve that has a very high diversity of animal species. We have exclusive canoes and a staff specialized in wildlife. we are implementing photographic workshops in an environment in which we could take shots of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians + Macro and scientific photography.

Tapir lodge has electricity supplied by solar panels at 110V, 24 hours a day.

We operate this tour with our friends from Amazonia Photo, Humberto and David who are responsible for this specialized program in wildlife,  where you can fin 10 species of monkeys, toucans, macaws, anacondas, alligators, pink dolphins, boas and frogs.

Most of the tour will be in fiberglass canoes with 50HP outboard to move quickly among the best wildlife viewing sites. Regarding the photographic equipment, we recommend telephoto lens with a focal length equal to or greater than 300mm and a camera with a fast autofocus and shots per second. The macro and wide angle lens is also recommended for Anacondas and diurnal poisonous frogs (+ flash and softbox). In addition to a tripod for understory fauna where light is scarce. The animals in the Amazon move quickly for that reason we will reveal to you in the field the secrets of photographic exposition so as not to lose those precious images.

To photograph the night fauna of the Amazon it is essential to use a flash and diffusers to soften the light. From our experience in the field we know that separating the light source from the camera gives the best results, so we recommend the use of wireless transmitters or cables for greater versatility in the use of the flash. In the night outings we will assist you to make the best shots In Situ with completely wild animals. We also know their behavior which will allow us to get close enough without frightening them using special lights to be able to focus and shoot. In relation to the equipment, the macro lens can not be missing (standard 100mm). And the wide-angle lens is the perfect complement for alligators, snakes and frogs.
